Puppy Kindergarten: $225 (6 week course)
Mondays, 7:00 p.m. at SBK Dog Club
Puppies under 12 months who attend all 6 classes and pass their final exam are eligible to be registered with the AKC as S.T.A.R. Puppy grads!
S.T.A.R. stands for Socialization, Training, Activity and Responsibility. As per the AKC, the goals of the S.T.A.R. Puppy Program include:
- Providing socialization to puppies enrolled in class
- Providing training to puppies enrolled in class
- Teaching owners about the appropriate amount of activity, both mental and physical for their pups
- Teaching owners what it takes to be a responsible pet guardian
Basic Obedience and Good Manners Classes: $225 (6 week course)
Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m. at SBK Dog Club
This class is for dogs who have no previous training or for whom previous training has been unsuccessful.
In this class, you and your pup will learn basic, “building block” cues/behaviors including eye contact and name recognition, “watch me”, “sit”, “down”, “stay”, “touch”, “come” and loose leash walking, and we’ll address managing and preventing common behavioral issues.
